Kate Simpson is the most recent addition to The Barry Group and brings with her a diverse background in marketing, publishing and food & beverage.

A graduate of University of Southern California with a degree in Communication, Kate began her professional career with Anheuser-Busch.  She focused on marketing, sales and event management in Los Angeles for this global company.

At Global Traveler Magazine, she again straddled sales and client services.  Kate developed an understanding of the media-side of the press/publicist relationship, as well as multi-faceted events management. Clients included high-end hotels, airlines and tourism boards such as Hotel Bel-Air, Air New Zealand, and Tahiti Tourism.   Then she moved to New York to spend the next five years with The Walt Disney Company where she produced brand initiatives, media plans and client presentations. However, a more creative future called her and with a desire to branch into the compelling lifestyle industries of food, drink and travel, she moved to Napa to get her hands dirty. Two years of working closely with wine makers, food purveyors and destination visitor programs she decided to put her background, passion and knowledge to work in public relations.

Kate is an Illinois native – go Cardinals! – and in her leisure she enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking and volunteering in the local community
